ENVIROS are very pleased to announce that they have successfully completed acquisition of the geophysical site investigation survey on the Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Project on behalf of GT R4 Limited.
This multi-vessel project spanning over 6 months was carried out on schedule, meeting all safety, data quality and environmental objectives, and is one of the largest surveys ever carried out off East Coast, UK with over 10,000-line kms of detailed multibeam bathymetry and geophysical survey plus UXO and seabed geotechnical site investigations over the licensed seabed area of 500 km2.
Enviros performance has been improved by new developments and innovative technologies including high speed and high-capacity data transfer systems to allow daily transfers of up to 4Gb of data together with onshore processing and geohazard reporting from Enviros’s Kuala Lumpur reporting centre. Sustainability is considered to be a key objective for Enviros, and this was demonstrated by using the fuel efficient "eco-friendly" Guard Celena for this project.
